    I did the similar thing on my old dodge 1500 with a 5.9 amd individual coil packs all mounted together rather than right on the plugs like most new engines are. I had 4 of 8 right thankfully the computer told me which ones where firing out of order.

    The really weird thing was it only had a slight miss at idle, but it wouldn't rev at all.

  3. well it depends on which ones where switched. If he had companion cylinders switched then it wouldn't make much of a miss at out. Just no power. I too have done this....on my 2.3 mustang I had 2, 3 switched so they fired on the exhaust/intake stroke instead of the compression/power stroke. Idled nice and smooth but just had no power.

    did this on my 44o .did relize that the cam i bought had a 3 5 swap to smooth out the idle.after 2 days of fighting with it it took five minutes to read the card and fix it
